This is kind of an odd poll but I would love to hear some ideas...
My question is:
IS THERE A MARKET FOR TWEENS AND TEENS BOTH GIRLS AND BOYS CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES???
what I have in mind is lounge wear and fun items such as my Pantaloni, skirts, boxers etc.
I would love some comments about how you feel about this...I searched Etsy and there is basically NOTHING for this age group...should I offer to fill some of this void?
THANKS IN ADVANCE...ANY IDEAS WELCOME :)

I think there is defiantly a market for it (look at all the Hannah Montana stuff that sells to that age range). The trick though is to market to both the kids AND their parents since the kids can't buy it themselves.
I'd say yes, moms love to buy stuff for their kids no matter the ages.
Definitely! When my kids are in the tweens, I'm going to have so much fun shopping for them on Etsy! Definitely fill that void!!! XOXO
I think there IS a market for tweens. I sell MaggiB for tween girls (tote bags and overnight bags). They are like the grownup versions but geared to tweens (a little more girly than the grownup versions) and have had success. I have found that the products have to be close to the mom's version because the kids want to look more grownup but not TOO grownup.
Good luck!

I couldn't agree more that there is a market for tweens! For a quick minute I was making fun pajama shorts & pants for teen girls, 50 of them sold in 1 week. :-D I don't know why I'm not still doing that! haha
By the way I am Jenni's - tinkerdotdesigns.com - sister Melinda. Great work on Lydias skirt - ADORABLE!
Hi Melinda! Thank you so much! She is one cute baby!!!
I just love that Jenni and I have become "friends" ...
Thanks for stopping by :)
Oh for sure - there's no harm in testing the market at least. I would go for it!
I think you should go for it! For girls especially at that age, they're big on accessories!!! Well, at least I know I was during my tween and teen years!;)
Great way to brain storm, I think it is worth a go. You never know, if you see a hole in the market it's best to try and fill it.
Good luck, I think it is a great idea!

Definitely! I tin most sellers make clothes for their age-group and what fits them...thus the lack of sellers that cater to this age-group. You would be filling a void felt by many parents with tweens who want to look cool. :)
Yes, I definetely think there is a market fot this age. I know I will still be searching for cute things on Etsy for my girls when they are tweens and teens. Pajama or cozy type pants that can be worn to sport practices are always good for girls. I know my sisters and I (4 of us) and our friends always wore things like that to our practices and just for relaxing too. Of course everything you make is adorable so I think it would do very well. Yay! good luck! Let me know how it's going :)
oh yea...I remember when my kids, on weekends, would just lay around in jammies or sweats... this, in my opinion, is a great idea!
yes. My 7 yr old daughter & 10 yr old son asked me why there aren't any shops for their age group when we were browsing through Etsy shops.
I think there is a market. Unfortunately I don't think that market is online. When my kids (all four) were teens and tweens I could never buy online because of sizing and I always had to send things back. I think accessories at that age would sell better.
Not to be discouraging but I know the size issue is a problem. I think you'd have to post all the measurements for clothing. Just my thoughts...
I think there is. There are so many beautiful baby clothes on Etsy but I can't find handmade things for my daughter now she's that bit older.
Definately a market for tweens - babies don't stay babies forever! I used to make baby scrapbooks almost exclusively until my son started growing up and I realized -everyone grows up! LOL I say go for it!
There is definitely a market for clothing! :)
If you have found a size / style not highly saturated on Etsy, then I would say for sure to go for it!!!
A lot of the clothes makers seem to aim for the baby sizes, but older kids need clothes too.
I was looking for a nice hoodie for my 7 year old son a while back on Etsy and couldn't find anything.
